Dama Stars

Damas stars is an Italian-style chess variant that combines elements of Checkers, Go, and Chess into one fun puzzle board-game. The rules are simple: jump over your opponents pieces (white or black), promote them to powerful kings if they cant be jumped anymore. To dominate the entire game!

Players take turns moving their own piece across squares on a 19x20 grid, while promoting other players king-like figures. Damas stars is known for its unique twist: its not just about checkingmate or checkend; instead of simply winning by capturing all your opponent’s pieces and taking over the board territory with kingside castling moves (which are illegal in chess), you can also promote to powerful, unstoppable "stars" that will continue moving across squares until they reach a certain point.
